Hi everyone,

I've been so bad about keeping up this account here. Shortly after opening this one, things got super busy for me with anime cons and my business. I'm not even keeping up with my other dA page kimchikawaii very well!

As for Fleur, I'm in the process of changing the focus a bit. Starting in 2015, I'm hoping to have Fleur more focused on my fine art instead of crafts. I'll still have some deco stuff here and there, but it won't be the main focus.

Anyway, that's about all from me!

After this last con, I've decided that I will no longer be carrying the fake cupcakes and cake boxes at my artist alley tables. The items are just too much hassle to pack and are not really selling there. I would rather devote the often times limited table space to the stuff that does move - namely my stuff. Don't worry, they aren't going to totally vanish. They will only be available online through the Storenvy shop unless I see some sudden surge in interest in them again.

In other news, I have three more cons this year and then I'll be taking a rest til 2014 and working on pumping up the shops for the holiday season. I'll be at Japan Expo USA, SacAnime and Anime Weekend Atlanta I will carry the deco rings and jars and iPhone cases that I've started making.

Gosh, I am so bad at keeping up with this account and all. I'm kind of at a crossroads with Fleur, honestly. I'm not saying I'm giving it up entirely, but my main strength is still 2D artwork and that is what sells best at cons - my stuff. I need to focus on what will bring in the money and exposure. Fleur has been a bit of an uphill battle. Originally, I intended to make lolita accessories through this brand, but they just don't sell. I've since discontinued the cookie necklaces. When the ones I have sell, I won't be making more. Even when I mark them half off, they don't move. I don't know if it's cause I'm not pink enough at my table or the lolitas are all spending their money on AP and BTSSB, but yeah...

It used to frustrate me a bit, but then I realized that I DO have a strength in Kimchi and that is what I need to get my focus back on. I found that when I shifted focus trying to make Fleur into something that it wasn't, Kimchi also suffered cause art time turned into crafting time.

I'll still be doing some cupcakes and cake boxes here and there. The deco rings sell well so will keep doing those. I'm kinda shifting the focus of Fleur to my fabric designs instead as that still uses my drawing skills. I have a lot of ideas for fabric prints so hope to expand the collection on my Spoonflower shop.

Anyway, for now been working on getting stuff done for AX. Can't believe that's coming up in a few weeks! Where is the year going? Anyone going from here?

In other news, SakuraCon was a huge success for me and I will definitely be going back. I had a great time! I will be posting a more formal review as soon as I get a few more things done on my list of 'to-do'. First, I need to do some updating to my website and get the Storenvy shop opened for business. As of yet, they don't have a vacation mode, so I've been waiting until I got back from SakuraCon to open it. I hope they give us a vacation mode before my next big cons!

If anyone is in the Seattle, WA area you probably know that SakuraCon is rapidly approaching. Kimchi Kawaii and Frosted Fleur de Lis will be selling at the con in the Artist Alley. This will be my first out of state con and I'm a bit nervous, honestly. Once again, I'm near the back (what is it with me near the back of AA's?), but I promise, there will be lots of fun stuff to make your trek worth it. Drop by and say 'hi'! Ok, back to playing luggage Tetris and trying to figure out how to fit clothes and inventory into my suitcases. All I can say is thank goodness Southwest still lets you check two bags for free in addition to my carry-on and personal item!
